As a boy, I had
always dreamed of owning a lawncare/landscape business. This dream aided me in
making the most of my high school and college years. I not only worked hard at
my studies, but also apprenticed with area landscapers, learning many invaluable
lessons. I graduated from Grace College in 1987 and decided to follow my family,
who had re-located to Palmyra, Pennsylvania the year before. I was ready to take
the risk of starting my own lawncare/landscape business. I started the business
with just a few accounts, many who are customers to this day. In August of 1988, I
married Leslie Good. She had just graduated from Grace College and we were ready
to start a new life together. She entered the business, as official
�bookkeeper�. Now The Greenskeeper had two employees. Through the years,
as our family grew, so did the company family. Leslie and I added three
daughters and one son to our family over the following 8 years. We also added
employees each year until the company family became a family of 12-15 (depending
on the time of the year!) In 2002, The Greenskeeper celebrated its 15th Anniversary. We feel very grateful for God�s obvious care and guidance during the many ups and downs of running a business and will continue to look to Him. |
